  14. Hello Linuxers,
  15.    I am having problems trying to boot LINUX 0.99.2 from SCSI with LILO 0.8
  16. (+ the patch) from OS/2 BootManager.  
  17.  
  18. Could someone who is booting from SCSI and/or Adaptec AHA 1542B please send
  19. me the command to install LILO and make it boot from the SCSI drive?

  21. It used to work for me with LILO 0.4 and I stuck with that until the kernel
  22. required an upgrade to LILO 0.7.  That's when it broke and now I'm trying
  23. 0.8 and it still won't work for me.

  25. I am trying to boot from primary partition /dev/sda4 with the /Image kernel.

  27. My current situation is that when I try to boot LILO from OS/2 BootManager
  28. it prints out "L" and then the disk goes into a loop trying to read something
  29. and never comes out of the loop until I reboot.  According to the LILO docs
  30. this means that LILO can't find the partition information but I have that in
  31. the /etc/lilo/map and it hasn't changed since late last summer.

  33. I know that this is probably a one-line command to install, but I've tried
  34. EVERY combination of parameters that I can think of and nothing seems to
  35. work.  I can even get it to boot off of floppy but not the hard disk.

  37.    Any help or information would be appreciated....even gentle flames!  :-)
