  12. Hi there,
  13.      I'be been playing around with linux a month now, and am getting
  14. into the networking side of it.  I've got telnet and ftp running from
  15. and to a SUN Sparcstation network (to some extent!) but can't seem to work
  16. out how to get the programs running on the sparc to be displayed on my
  17. linux station. I've got linux 98p5 at present, i'll be upgrading
  18. sometime soon.

  20.      My linus station is called 'spc1' to the rest of the sparc network.

  22.      What I can't work out is how to get the X windows running, so that
  23. when I start a program on the sparc e.g. '<progname> -display spc1' it does
  24. not seem to work.  What I can't work out is how to start my X windows up
  25. so that it is known as 'spc1'.

  27. If anyone out there has had any success then please mail me.
