- Hi...
-
- Quick, and probably easy, question about ftp in
- SLS.
-
- After much effort, I have telnet/ftp finally configured.
- Well, almost. I can easily telnet into the machine (loopback),
- but if I try to ftp, I get the login prompt, but as soon as
- I type in the account I want to ftp into, it says:
-
- 221 Server shutting down
-
- and that is it. So, my questions with this are...
- is there a log file somewhere that I can check for possible
- errors? (something more descriptive)
- anyone have any ideas, if no log file?
-
- My second question deals with talk...I keep seeing
- stuff asked, but never answered :( Now that my system seems
- to be configured, talk still won't work.
-
- I used to get 'Target machine does not recognize us'...now
- I seem to be getting 'Checking for invitation on caller's machine',
- and then it just sits there and waits. Does anyone have any ideas?
- Solutions?
-
- Thanks...
-
- Marc
