- Has anyone managed to compile the tiff library? I'd like to
- link this with JPEG/URT/XV etc., but GCC chokes on the large
- constant declaration in g3states.h (which lists the constants
- for a ~300x300 array of integers).
-
- GCC eats up more than 14Mb of memory (even though the original
- source file is only 300k), which crashes my machine.
- BTW, I came across the same problem at work using GCC on a Motorola
- 88K box with 32Mb max process size, and only got around it by using
- the Greenhills, rather than GCC compiler.
-
- I've tried with and without optimization (-O/-O2), with and without
- -g, but nothing has helped so far.
-
- If someone has compiled tif_fax3.c and could send me the object
- (tif_fax3.o), I would be very grateful. Or if anyone has any
- suggestions, they are also welcome.
-
- -Dave.
