- Hi,
- I have finally got a small program to set the Diamond Steath VRAM's third
- video clock to the correct values for a 1024x768 screen from within Linux.
- This works with X, doesn't use the VBIOS or any part of the Diamond smode code,
- and does not depend on any previous clock settings. It does use the code posted
- by Batman 8-) about a month ago. Now I have to fine tune Xconfig 8-(. Also I
- have written a small device driver for the joystick (buttons only right now
- 8-)). It seems, from going through the BIOS, that the PC uses a timer to
- measure the time it takes a know charge across a cap to discharge through the
- variable resistor in the joystick. It also disables interrupts while this
- happens. How long can interrupts be disabled before problems develop ?
