- Hi linuxers,
-
- Sorry to waste bandwidth, but I do also have a serious problem in getting my
- new Toshiba CDROM and the Future Domain TMC-850 working with linux. It works
- great with MSD*S. What I did:
-
- I compiled the LINUX 0.99.1 with seagate ST02 and ALL of the Filesystems
- (MINIX, EXT, PROC, CDROM ! ) and "autoirq". The TMC-850 is set to IRQ 5 and
- address c800 ( this one has no EPROM !! ). NO debug ore anything else
- enabled. I made a deviceentry scd0 as block, major 11 minor 0 and mode 666 in
- /dev, also a directory entry in root /cdrom with mode 777.
-
- At boot time I get: 0 HOSTS detected, 0 drives 0 tapes 0 CDROM
- ( can't remember the right wordings, because the startup messages flashes
- too fast through the screen )
- When trying to mount the thing I get the following.
-
- [root]/> mount -t cdrom /dev/scd0 /cdrom
- mount: Unknown error 26240
-
-
- Well, I know that these kind of questions have been asked several times in
- the past, but due to a chrash ( another story) I lost all the postings.
-
- Please can anybodey help me
-
- Thanks a lot
-
- Klaus
