  18. and grab some animation programs.  I've compiled all of them and they work
  19. great, right out of the box as they say.  Xanim, however, has problems with
  20. the pixmap, the author knows, and a fix is being attempted.  So please
  21. ignore that file.

  23. Remember, you need to have X installed (duh..) :-)

  25. Here's a brief synopsis:

  27. mpeg-1.2.tar.Z : mpeg player
  28. xgrasp:  GL (grasprt) player

  30. NOTE: I couldnt get xviewgl to compile on my 386-25/8meg, it ran out of
  31. memory!  Could someone try it and see what happens?.. Maybe I wasn't using
  32. the right includes.

  34. xdl:  DL player

  36. I believe those are the important ones.  Now, go to
  37. alt.binaries.pictures.erotica and GO GET THOSE GL/DL FILES.. :-)

  39. toe.cs.berkeley.edu has a slew of MPEG files available..  in
  40. /pub/multimedia/mpeg/animations (I think that is the correct dir).

  45. support@rahul.net along with a capture of your ftp session.  It will help
  46. us improve the site.  Thanks.  You can ftp in any time of the day, but
  47. there is a limit of >6< concurrent ftp sessions, so it may be best to use
  48. archie to search for "xdl," "xviewgl," "xgrasp" etc.

  50. These are standard releases for X, I didn't modify them in any way for
  51. Linux.
