  14. This is a repost of a previous problem - there was no posted solution
  15. and my mail to the person bounced. I have the same problem with both the
  16. SLS 0.98.5 created boot disk and a new boot disk from 0.99.2:

  18. Last week I've tried to upgrade to 98p6 by recompiling the new kernel and
  19. making a new bootdisk (yes, I don not use Lilo) ... compiling was fine, but
  20. when I tried to boot from the new disk I've got the following:

  22.     (after recognizing my SCSI disk correctly ...)

  34. Then it all halts ... I've tried the 99 version, too - with the same
  35. result. But I can boot it from my old 98p5 bootdisk ...

  37. Is there a way to get 98p6 or 99 running ? My machine is a 486 with 
  38. 8 meg RAM and a SCSI disk on an AHA1542B
  39.  
  40. Please, is there any solution ? Maybe something has changed for compiling
  41. the kernel from 98p5 to 98p6 ? Any options etc. ?
