- Sounds good. I gave a copy of the Linux vgalib to... well I forgot
- the poor guy's name... it was hpciv from somewhere in the 'ca' domain. I
- hate that I can't remember. Anyway, he said he would take a look at that
- and port it. I was looking for something that was common between Linux
- and Coherent so we could write programs for both systems.
-
- If we could get the driver you are talking about running under Linux,
- then I suppose that would be great too. No problem with multiple choices
- as long as they are available for both systems. Do you think porting would
- be a problem? The vgalib for Linux is about 32K of source code and is
- pretty good from what I read. I hope the guy ports it with no problem.
-
- So, I really just want a common graphics interface for Linux and
- Coherent (or any other OS it can be ported to but I lean towards Linux/Coh)
-
- Also, how long before your X port is running? Did you use Xfree86 as
- a starting point or just start right from MIT source code? I use X but would
- like to be able to do graphics without it sometimes.
