- There is a possibility that I can aquire a tape drive and
- CD rom drive. I'm wondering about the stuff.
-
- TAPE DRIVE: Irwin Magnetics Model 420 Seriel 0003057
- Comes with drive, card, and connection cable. External
- drive. Price $100.
-
- Other than this, the guy knows nothing about it.
- How many meg is this drive? Does it need any software to
- work from a 286? Is this a fair price? Anything else
- you can tell me about it? (such as tape costs)
-
- CD ROM: Hitatchi CDR- 25005 With card Price $150
- Without card Price $100
- Is this an industry standard drive, or is it a special?
- There are 4 of these that were ganged together, so there
- is only one control card.
-
- What can you tell me about these drives? Is the price
- fair? How much do the cd's cost for the drive? Is it
- really worth buying?
-
- These come from a reputable source, but the seller obviously
- does not know what he has. I asked him if the tape drive
- was DAT format. He told me that I could not put an audio
- tape in them, because they were for computers and would
- not take cassettes.
-
- If I should seriously consider buying these drives, what
- questions should I ask the original source for these?
- I know where they originally came from, so I can backtrack
- to their original sysad to get the low down.
-
- Please reply through email.
