- Both of those are present in TP & BP 7.

- If all you've ever wanted are the two things above, the answer may be yes.
- In reality, no.

-
- Code generated by TP/BP 7 tends to be a tiny bit bigger and marginally
- faster (especially on a 386). I haven't noticed any difference in compile
- time.
-
- I don't know what the idiosyncracies are - could you expand on that?
- I'd say the TP 6 IDE is barely worth using as a development environment - it
- gets in the way too much. The BP 7 IDE works much better. There's far more
- memory available, it's much more configurable.

-
- Those unregistered units should have gone out long ago - didn't you read the
- licenses? Register or don't use is the usual condition. As for the
- registered ones, I was unaware that anyone would take money for units
- without giving source code. Sounds unethical to me.
-
- If you really can't do without some TP6 units, then don't upgrade. It would
- be too much trouble to maintain two versions on your disk.

-
- The cost isn't much - just $150 plus shipping for the full package,
- including the RTL source. Definitely worth it.
