- I think DDJ does a nice job of explaining why BC++ Debugger runs under DOS.
- Apparently it has a lot to do with the way Windows 'multitasks'. A step
- through the code and an unanswered message causes windows to freeze. The
- 'true' windows debuggers are according to the article (and I am paraphrasing
- at best) are a little buggy themselves because of the way they have to handle
- things. I am happy with the debugger Borland gave us. It is a heck of alot
- better than codeview, and a text based debugger (though boxy) runs better and
- when debugging my own buggy code I don't need a buggy debugger. :-)
