- We use both, but mostly the Image Tools. The cases where we use PBMplus
- is where the format is not supported by Image Tools. If you have a format
- that is not supported by Image Tools and feel that is important I would
- suggest that you write the reader and writer for that format in the Image
- Tools style (they do release some example source code) and once you have it
- debugged and documented, send a request to SDSC to have it included in the
- next release.
-
- I was very unhappy with the PostScript generation code in the first release
- and I told SDSC where they could get the source code to an improved PostScript
- code generator that I had written (which SDSC has since heavily modified and
- improved on).
-
- Let's stop bickering about who is better than who, and there is very little
- chance that this discussion here on the net is going to change the opinion
- of management at SDSC. Let's put our collective energies to developing
- better tools to support our work.
