- Ref.: Letter to Alex Woo somewhere round November
-
- Hello,
-
- during the X-mast vacancy I worked round some problems in my GnuPlot
- 3.1 adds (Splines and Bezier interpolation in data plots and X-errors).
- As Alex wanted me to use the already inbuilt contour routines for my
- interpolations I had a look at them. Unfortunately the comments in the
- code say little more than the function names itself. Do you know who
- wrote that routines and could write me the basic stucture and data
- types used in there?
-
- Beyond that the source that I should use to add my routines is not
- available. To be sure, not even the gnuplot directory seems to
- exist at ames.arc.nasa.gov anymore. A friend of mine told me that
- he found a gnuplot3.38 beta somewhere in the .sun net. He will
- give me copy of that archive in the next days. As I won't have
- time to do complicated programming in the next two months, I would
- ask you, if there will be any drastic changes in the near future.
- Otherwise I would merge my time and would "diff" my code into
- your most recent archive, when all is done -- especially because
- I now have an MS-DOS programmer set to hunt for my bezier style
- bug. Do you have any idea, what could cause a "floating point
- error: Domain" on MS-DOS machines only? At least SPARC and Amiga
- won't complain.
-
-
-
- Aloha, Lars.
