  23. You need to send that character to the switch, that happens AFTER the
  24. modem connection is established, before you are connected to the target
  25. system.
  26. So, the sequence is...   1-you dial the modem and are connected   
  27. 2-you send the character to the switch  3-the switch talks to you and
  28. lets you make a selection of systems  4-you are connected to and log 
  29. on to the target system.
  30. Any standard comm package should let you do this.
