- Let me extend and generalize the question: Putting aside the bundled
- communication and fax software associated with the 400/external, is
- there any reason this modem couldn't be used to support *fax*
- functionality outside of the DOS environment? If one had, say,
- appropriate fax software for a Macintosh, or Sun, or Next, could
- this modem work as a fax modem? Or is it doomed to live within
- the DOS ghetto? Has anyone done it? Tried, without success, to get
- the straight scoop earlier from Intel, so I pose the question here.
