  19. I was quite surprised by this and by the fact that the manual I got inside
  20. the sealed package was for the BOCAmodem 2400I (!), and that the manual for
  21. the free fax software "Quicklink 2" was quite obviously used and had been
  22. written in.  What kind of deal is this?!

  24. The modem has been working fine at 14400 (and 19200 effectively, the fastest
  25. speed the university here will support "internally") for three weeks now, 
  26. but I can't figure out from the documentation (I got the proper manual after 
  27. the store re-opened after the holidays) how to do a simple no-compression,
  28. no-error-checking connection to a 2400 or a 9600 baud modem.
