-
- I did, back in November when I got the upgrade notice. About 1/2 hour on the
- phone netted a list of people I could buy FAX software from. The sales
- person would not transfer me to someone who knew where I could get docs (no
- one here knows) and stated that Telebit did not have any documentation on
- the operation of the Fax feature.
-
- She read to me what standards it complied with (letter by letter) and tried
- several times to tell me that it was the responsibility of the Fax software
- vendor to know these things, not Telebit.
-
- I'm a mostly happy Telebit customer with about 16 T2500's and a few WB's.
- They have good tech support (when you get through to them) and are
- willing to help if you make enough noise. Once you reach someone technical
- they are usually extremely eager to please and will bend over backwards to
- fix your problems. IMHO, their marketing plans lose big and many (not
- all, there are good ones) of their sales people can barely spell
- "modem", much less talk inteligently about their products.
-
- Sadly, its not really worth buying Telebits anymore, Pep isn't really
- as attractive as it used to be with V32bis/V42bis availble and you can get
- a V32bis/V42bis modem for a much better price than a WB these days (the
- cheaper ones can even do fax/data as advertised).
