- I use a Watson for my voice mail and I have noticed that some telephones
- are much better at producing tones that Watson 'hears'. Anything based
- on a the old 2500 set works all the time, every time. Some electronic
- systems, esp. the ones that measure the length of the pulse, don't work
- as well. Experience has shown that if I cover the mouthpiece while sending
- numbers, the decode works significantly better. Perhaps the same things
- affect the ZyXEL modem's ability to detect and decode DTMF.
