  18. It may be an attempt at a goodwill gesture, but it sure would've been
  19. handy if they had lab tested the WB fax upgrade with a more attractive
  20. software package such as perhaps the highly regarded Digifax, which is
  21. apparently available for less than half the cost of Faximum ($290 vs.
  22. $625).

  24. And indeed, I think that the Telebit phone representatives were
  25. conscious of this little social problem as when I asked about the
  26. availability and cost of SysV fax software, they all said something
  27. like, "I don't know exactly what the cost is, but you can call Faximum
  28. directly at 604-xxx-xxxx and ask them.".  Obviously, they had had so
  29. many initial negative reactions over the phone that is was convenient
  30. to just "forget" the price.

  37. as various users tinker and experiment with alternatives.  I bet there
  38. isn't a single WB user that will avail themselves of the gracious
  39. Telebit Faximum offer.
