- We use a microwave ethernet to connect our office to NEARnet, our regional
- network. The microwave transceiver is from Microwave Bypass. Our neighbor
- node is over a mile away, so it should be no problem for you being less
- than half a mile apart. The capital costs could be prohibitive, though;
- NEARnet's installation fee for this is $50K (this is presumably the cost of
- two microwave towers, two microwave transceivers, and one cisco router).
- But if your alternative is a leased line, you might make this up in the
- phone charge savings.
