  10. I've become quite attached to Ingres (DG Aviion) in my work with the USGS,
  11. and would very much like to use Ingres for my research at school.  The
  12. two platforms I have access to at school are IBM RS/6000 AIX, and
  13. DEC 5000/Ultrix V4.2A.  Neither of these platforms have any database
  14. software currently on them.

  16. So I have ftp'ed the public domain version of ingres "ingres89.tar.Z" .
  17. Has anyone successfully ported this ingres to AIX or Ultrix?  Is it
  18. worth my time?
