  12. The tape device I use for archiving I-OL broke down and I'm not sure when it
  13. will be fixed, (a DAT dev. on a HP), so if I want to take daily backups
  14. I have to back up on a different machine and tape dev.  But reading the manual
  15. suggests to me that you can not restore OL from different devices, is that
  16. correct?  Should I rather take the engine off-line and unix-backup the
  17. cooked files?
