- improve with a bit of use. I'm not suggesting you entrust valuable data to

- This is not true. Most IDE and SCSI hard disks *look* as if they are defect
- free because they map bad sectors out internally. If you see a bad sector on
- one of these it is a NEW bad sector. I agree in that case it is time to
- question the drive's reliability.
