  11. I recently obtained a copy of PKZIP version 2.04c and executed it at the
  12. DOS Prompt under Windows 3.1.  After ziping the file, the DOS Prompt
  13. closed down, and I was unable to run any other applications (I got a
  14. message stating that I had no memory available.  I can assure you I did
  15. - 4MB).  I then exited Windows, and as Windows was exiting to DOS, I got
  16. the message "Memory Allocation Error.  Unable to find COMMAND, system
  17. halted."  I'm runing on a standard 486DX/33 with 4MB RAM.  I was doing
  18. nothing unusual in Windows at the time of the incident, and even tried
  19. it again with the same results.  Does version 2.04c simply not run under
  20. Windows? This is very disturbing.
