  10. There are many bugs in PKZIP 2.04c of which two seem to be significant.
  11. First of all their DPMI support is very buggy, this causes crashes,
  12. loss of data etc. ALWAYS USE THE -) OPTION TO DISABLE DPMI. When
  13. you are using Windows, OS/2 2.0 or QEMM this is vital (386^MAX has
  14. not been investigated yet).
  15. Running PKUNZIP from a batch file or with REARJ also generaties problems
  16. for which no reason has been found yet.
  17. PKWARE has already promised a bug fix release (and specifically
  18. advises to use the -) option many times on CompuServe) but till
  19. now only acknowledged bugs with voluma names and the CFG file (manual
  20. bugs).

  22. When using -) PKZIP seems to work flawlessly and is a very impressive
  23. program. Especially the speed of -es remains amazing to me.
