- Macola is high-end accounting software. It's full-featured,
- reliable and flexible, well compatible with Novell, but the latest
- versions tend to be resource-demanding. While the earlier versions
- did run acceptably on a 386 server and 286 workstations, the newer
- ones seem to run a little too slow for some people's taste, unless
- they have a fast 486 server and 386 workstations. On such equipment,
- the new Macola system loads quickly into memory and executes
- acceptably fast.
-
- Macola has announced the introduction of a yet newer system,
- GUI-based and with many graphical enhancements such as windowed
- charts and graphs, etc. My guess is that it will be even more
- resource-demanding than the current version but I haven't actually
- seen it yet.
