  22. Macola is high-end accounting software.  It's full-featured, 
  23. reliable and flexible, well compatible with Novell, but the latest 
  24. versions tend to be resource-demanding.  While the earlier versions 
  25. did run acceptably on a 386 server and 286 workstations, the newer 
  26. ones seem to run a little too slow for some people's taste, unless 
  27. they have a fast 486 server and 386 workstations. On such equipment, 
  28. the new Macola system loads quickly into memory and executes 
  29. acceptably fast.

  31. Macola has announced the introduction of a yet newer system, 
  32. GUI-based and with many graphical enhancements such as windowed 
  33. charts and graphs, etc.  My guess is that it will be even more 
  34. resource-demanding than the current version but I haven't actually 
  35. seen it yet.
