  17. As I said in an earlier posting, it seems that PKWARE has this time
  18. got the permission for exporting.

  20. But just for the argument's sake, consider the following.  I
  21. imported the file from the States.  That is different from someone
  22. exporting it.  With the global electronic village we live in, there
  23. are just two options to stop us non-americans from importing such
  24. material.  The first is not making it availabe IN THE STATES!!!! The
  25. second alternative is disconnecting the transatlantic telephone
  26. links, and severing the overseas computer links.

  28. Taken to its logical conclusion, no U.S. specific shareware can be
  29. legal in the States unless the North Americans cut off all the
  30. communication links with the rest of the world.
