  19. The latest version of McAfee Associates' VIRUSCAN series can be obtained
  20. by anonymous ftp from the mcafee.COM site (IP# 192.187.128.1).

  22. To download the VIRUSCAN programs, type:

  24.     ftp mcafee.com
  25.  
  26. This will establish a connection with McAfee Associates' Internet node.
  27. When asked to login, enter:
  28.  
  29.     anonymous
  30.  
  31. for your name.  When asked for a password, enter your own email address.
  32.  
  33. You will then be presented with a prompt.  Type
  34.  
  35.     bin
  36.  
  37. to tell our systems to establish a binary (8 bit) connection (as opposed to 
  38. a 7-bit or ASCII connection, which would corrupt files when they are 
  39. transferred).
  40.  
  41. Use the "cd" and "dir" commands to move around and look at directories.  
  42. When you find a file you want, type 
  43.  
  44.     get "X" 
  45.  
  46. where 'X' is the name of the file.  The file will then be copied from
  47. our system to yours.
