  20. Wow, quite a response to the mention of our Labanotation software!

  22. Please forgive me if I post instead of replying individually to
  23. everyone who mailed me.  Here's the scoop about the software...
  24.  
  25. LabanWriter is a freeware Labanotation editor for the Macintosh.
  26. It will not notate for you (maybe someday :-) and so you still must
  27. know notation, but it does mean you can finish a score more quickly
  28. and neatly.  There is currently no DOS or Windows version.

  30. LabanWriter is available several ways:

  32. - Send me a 3.5" disk and I'll send you back a disk with LabanWriter on it.

  44.   ** This is NOT my machine, so PLEASE be polite.  (like ftp'ing during
  45.   off-peak hours after 6PM EST) **

  47.   This ftp server is very picky, if it can't find a name for your machine
  48.   or you don't give your e-mail address as the password, you won't be 
  49.   granted access.  If you have real trouble, let me know.

  51.   This is the latest version (as of last May) and the manual.  You will
  52.   have to have some way to un-binhex them, but from there they uncompress 
  53.   themselves.  I expect to have the next release out around the end of 
  54.   February, and I'll post a note when that happens.

  56. - We also offer a subscription service.  If you find you use LabanWriter 
  57.   enough to justify it, you can subscribe to a year's worth of updates
  58.   for $30 US.  Check out the manual or see me for details.
