  12. Lately we've seen several occurrences of

  14. DMSSDM1151E File pool VMSYSU is unavailable
  15.  
  16. and/or
  17.  
  18. DMSJCA1152S File pool VMSYSU is unavailable; accessed directories for this
  19. file pool are released
  20.  
  21. All the known occurrences have been in disconnected machines.  Apparently
  22. each occurrence has affected only one user at a time, and no occurrence
  23. has involved an actual failure of the SFS server -- at least nothing so
  24. severe as to produce a message in the server console.
  25.  
  26. This is a particularly disruptive error to have in a disconnected server,
  27. especially since you don't usually write code to handle the situation in
  28. which your file system disappears out from under you.  We've had to move
  29. one application back to good old minidisks.
  30.  
  31. A search on IBMLINK turned up nothing that looked pertinent.  Any suggestions?
