- Greetings,
-
- Does any one out there use the task swapping capability of dos 5 to switch
- between a communications program and nb4? I have been trying it. It works,
- essentially. The only strange behavior is that upon switching to nb4 I find IP
- inserted on the command line (and sometimes an ip delta in the text); on
- switching to the communications program there is an "H" inserted at the
- command line. Any similar experience or remedies. Its not a serious problem
- since both the IP and the H are easily deleted.
-
- BTW, there appears be NO! memory penalty at all. I use a 386-40 with 4 NB ram
- and the dos 5 memory manager to create a small amount of expanded memory for
- the nb4 speller, a ram drive and a meg or two left as extended.
