- I second Rip Lhamon's statements. Last year I sent several days each week
- for three weeks trying to solve the mysteries of uu/xx coding, zip & unzip,
- as well as FTP. It didn't help that no one at the computer support center
- had every used uu/xx or zip compression before. To make matters worse, the
- e-mail system here does not allow one to receive files directly. Only
- standard e-mail goes through. Anything ordered from another computer must
- be obtained through a laborious RECEIVE command proceedure that even the
- compter wiz's find difficult to use.
- In the end I gave up. I had spent too much time with too little results.
- I still cannot use uu/xx decoding or unzip files (I get error messages every
- time).
- Please, please, please post discriptions of NBCUSTOM.SET and other useful
- information in plain english along regular e-mail routes.
- Thank you, --William Bodiford (ibfbwmb@mvs.oac.ucla.edu)
