  19. I wrote an XPL program to help in manual insertion of conditional
  20. hyphens.  I did it with Finnish in mind, but I thought it might be
  21. useful for any language for which NB lacks hyphenation support.  The
  22. program looks for 'long' (user definable) unhyphenated strings at line
  23. beginnings and drops the cursor there.  The user then can insert a
  24. hyphen right there, or first move about with cursor keys, or leave the
  25. word as is, and the pgm moves on (unless told to quit).  The exact
  26. character to put the cursor on is determined by a procedure simulating
  27. Finnish hyphenation rules.  This part, however, can easily be stripped
  28. (for somewhat faster performance) or replaced by other rules.
