- We have been running PSU's NetNews (2.1) for some years as a local
- bulletin board service (bit.listserv.new-list is the only external
- group gatewayed in). There is interest now in setting up
- a bi-directional newsfeed be set up between our local newsgroups and a Unix
- box (about which I know little except they appear to have a full newsfeed,
- run rn and such). Can such a feed be set up using mail as the conduit
- between the two systems?
-
- If not, what would be necessary to do this? TCP/IP is just beginning to
- be unfolded, meaning there is extremely restricted telnet/ftp access to
- our machine, so that resource is possible (perhaps) if necessary.
-
- thanks in advance,
