  12. We have been running PSU's NetNews (2.1) for some years as a local
  13. bulletin board service (bit.listserv.new-list is the only external
  14. group gatewayed in).  There is interest now in setting up
  15. a bi-directional newsfeed be set up between our local newsgroups and a Unix
  16. box (about which I know little except they appear to have a full newsfeed,
  17. run rn and such).  Can such a feed be set up using mail as the conduit
  18. between the two systems?

  20. If not, what would be necessary to do this?  TCP/IP is just beginning to
  21. be unfolded, meaning there is extremely restricted telnet/ftp access to
  22. our machine, so that resource is possible (perhaps) if necessary.
