- Joe, our "peer coaching program at ASU is based on the notion that it is
- incredibly usefulto have another pair of eyes in the classroom. A TA sits in
- on another TA's class and simply describes what he/she sees going on. On the
- evening that we introduced peer coach to the TAs in the TA seminar, we did
- something else for about the first half-hour of the class, and my assistant
- director (a senior TA) observed me and the class and wrote a description. I
- was astounded at what she had seen in my behavior and the class's that I was
- not aware of. Descriptive (rather than evaluative) reports on class visits are
- really useful.
