  13. Joe, our "peer coaching program at ASU is based on the notion that it is
  14. incredibly usefulto have another pair of eyes in the classroom. A TA sits in
  15. on another TA's class and simply describes what he/she sees going on. On the
  16. evening that we introduced peer coach to the TAs in the TA seminar, we did
  17. something else for about the first half-hour of the class, and my assistant
  18. director (a senior TA) observed me and the class and wrote a description. I
  19. was astounded at what she had seen in my behavior and the class's that I was
  20. not aware of. Descriptive (rather than evaluative) reports on class visits are
  21. really useful.
