  22. The only reason that 37x5 need to be on byte channels is to run EP.  If you
  23. have no need for EP, then TYPE=BL is fine.  I have may chpids 01 and 04
  24. defined as TYPE=BY for our 3725 for it's EP lines, and use TYPE=BL for our
  25. 3720's, which only load NCP.  This is with VM/ESA 1.1.1 and MVS/ESA 4.2.2
  26. as it's guest, and both VM and MVS have paths to the 3720 and 3725.  We also
  27. have a 3745 on a Block channel.
