- The only reason that 37x5 need to be on byte channels is to run EP. If you
- have no need for EP, then TYPE=BL is fine. I have may chpids 01 and 04
- defined as TYPE=BY for our 3725 for it's EP lines, and use TYPE=BL for our
- 3720's, which only load NCP. This is with VM/ESA 1.1.1 and MVS/ESA 4.2.2
- as it's guest, and both VM and MVS have paths to the 3720 and 3725. We also
- have a 3745 on a Block channel.
