- Subject: AMOS DRAW available by ftp
- Lines: 36
-
- Amos Draw is now available via anonymous ftp from cronkite.temple.edu in
- the directory /pub/bin/win. There are two files: amosdpak.exe is a self
- extracting archive. amosdpak.txt contains installation instructions.
-
- I have some printed samples of path diagrams drawn by Amos Draw that I
- will send on request. I can also mail out copies of Amos Draw on
- diskette, but would prefer to do this only as a last resort.
-
- Amos Draw is a Windows program for drawing path diagrams. It works much
- like a general purpose drawing or drafting program, but has an
- assortment of features that speed up the job of drawing path diagrams.
- When printed, the path diagrams are of presentation quality. Path
- diagrams can be copied to the clipboard and imported into other
- applications such as word processors or general purpose graphics
- programs.
-
- AmosDraw is the graphics interface to my structural modeling program,
- Amos (Analysis of MOment Structures). When used with Amos, Amos Draw
- allows the use of a path diagram as a model specification, and also
- automatically displays parameter estimates on the path diagram. Users of
- other structural modeling programs can use Amos Draw for its drawing
- capabilities alone.
-
- Amos Draw's documentation consists of extensive online help. It also
- comes with a tutorial document, although you will need Word for Windows
- to print it. Some sample path diagrams are included.
-
- AmosDraw works best using TrueType fonts, in which case variable names
- and other text in the path diagram look the same on the screen as on the
- printed page.
