- I think that there should be a sentence or two in the charter itself
- that explains the problems of nomenclature we've been discussing and
- what "native" means in the context of the group. It seems that "native"
- is the easiest word for the naming of the group, but the charter should
- make it as clear as possible that surviving indigenous cultures of
- the world are the main subject of discussion; it should in fact cover
- all of the names we've been throwing around, like "aboriginal" and
- "first nation," etc. What do you think?
