  14. In the song "Cocaine Blues" (George Thorogood and the Destroyers etc),
  15. there's a line "You're the dirty hack that shot your woman down".
  16. An interesting use of "hack"; does anyone know the connotation of
  17. this usage, and/or what liguistic community uses it this way?

  19. Hack: a REXX program to translate a small subset (really small;
  20. eensty-beentsy in fact) of GML into Microsoft RTF, so the Windows
  21. help compiler would accept it.  It was a hack primarily because I
  22. have no documentation on RTF format, and had to wing it by reading
  23. some RTF files and extrapolating.  (Does anyone know if there
  24. *is* any documentation on RTF format?  My doc collection in that
  25. area is minimal.)
