We have gone from intolerant religious zealots, to tolerant liberals
who tear up pictures of the Pope, vandalize churches, and demand that
the government fund pictures of the crucifix in a bottle of piss.

We have gone from a country where you could be killed just for being
the wrong age, to where you can be killed if you're of the wrong age.

We have gone from a country where women got the rawest end of the
deal, to where fathers are increasingly irrelevant and male-bashing is
an American tradition that begins the instant you turn on TV.

Our founders fled from Kings who jailed people who opposed them, to
give us a nation that now says nothing when cops arrest pro-lifers for
showing pictures on public streets, while just a few miles south of
them, others called NAMBLA can march freely down the street advocating
legalizing adult-child sex.

America was founded by people who fled from Inquisition-like rule,
only to become the global hotbed for anti-Catholic bigotry outside of
Russia.

We have gone from a country where black people were made fun of, to a
nation that permits rampages of racist comments against whites because
their parents or grandparents might have been a part of Jim Crow. We
have not seen a bit of decline in racism on TV - but we have seen a
reverse in the color of the recipients of racism.

We have gone from a country where being black and/or female cost you a
job, to where being white and/or male, can get you bumped.

We have gone from a country where white-only / men-only hangouts and
events were the rule, to where it is acceptable for black-only /
women-only institutions to run rampant.

Our ancestors fled from countries where opposition to government
policy was a crime. We have fought world wars and a cold war with
similar nations. Yet here we are, standing with our hands in our
pockets as radical feminists label any and all of their opponents as
fascists, male chauvenist pigs, etc., to invoke hatred and
intolerance. Here we are now allowing the media and ourselves to leap
on someone with our claws unsheathed, the instant they question
"correct" policy such as affirmative action or women's studies.

We feared the loss of individuality and the destruction of thought
that was rampant in George Orwell's 1984, and we tried to label the
Republicans as agents of Big Brother and Neo-Naziism, and there they
are in Washington, DC, censoring the Rush Limbaugh Show. Here we are
attacking Family Values that, during its time, for all its faults, saw
nothing nearly as bad as the huge crime waves, drugs, the ruined
schools, and AIDS plague, that we have now, since we flushed Family
Values down the toilet.

We have gone from an age where women had no rights to their own kids
or property, to an age where a woman can get half a man's money just
by marrying and then divorcing him, during which she can take the kids
away with no father visitation rights - all with a mere claim that he
is a child molestor, in which the media will always side with her.
(Look at how badly they're beating on Woody Allen.)

We have learned not to trust Fundamentalists who allegedly quote the
Bible out of context, and to instead trust liberals who quote EVERYONE
out of context almost every day.

We have gone from an age in which a husband could abuse his wife to
death and get away or get off lightly, to a day in which a wife can
kill a cheating husband and get a light sentence due to extinuating
circumstances.

We have gone from a society that has wiped out countless species of
animals, to Malibu, California, where dolphins are citizens of the
city; Oregon, where the Spotted Owl is considered more valuable than
loggers; and Carl Sagan, who thinks humans are lower than animals.

We have seen an increase in child abuse, despite all the liberal
efforts to decrease it, the biggest of which was legalizing abortion
(which may have possibly increased child abuse all the way across the
board).

We have a mushrooming AIDS plague, drug plague, illiteracy plague,
low-quality education plague, and a crime wave in which Al Capone
would be scared to death to go outside, all thanks to the Sexual
Revolution, Dr. Benjamin Spock, and liberalism in general.

The same women who seek to rescue their daughters from Randall Terry
clones, send them right into the arms of 2-Live-Crew junkies whose
favorite music includes instructions on how to do things to women so
bad that if I reprinted a piece of those lyrics, I'd probably lose
USENET access just for dreaming about posting it.

We go absolutely crazy when someone lies and accuses Pat Buchanan of
anti-semitism and racism, yet where are we when Ice-T makes music
about killing cops, Sir Mix-A-Lot talks about his fanatic love of
women's big behinds, 2-Live-Crew tells us all about how to tear a
woman up during sex, and Too-Short spills his rap-sludge onto wax,
instructing us in all the different ways we can talk badly and
profanely about women. Then we elect a womanizer to the Presidency.
Twice in just 50 years.

We have gone from a country where Democrats fought to keep blacks in
slavery, to a country where Democrats keep minorities poor and then
promise them liberation election year after election year. After which
they forget that promise.

We've improved from a nation that punished women and macho-ized men
for promiscuity, to an enlightened nation that makes fun of premarital
abstinence like it was the funniest thing we've ever seen, and that
treats it like an unhealthy inhibition.

We have put in power a vast army that includes a far-left Congress, a
liberal incoming President, a hatefully intolerant, liberal media, a
maraudingly liberal Hollywood, militant feminists, vandalist AIDS
activists, animal rights and environmental maniacs, and an
anti-Semitic reverend who is sure to become US Senator in the
soon-to-be state of Washington, DC, while throwing out Pat Buchanan,
who, like Jesse Jackson, marched with Martin Luther King, Jr., and who
has been unjustly accused of anti-Semitism. Neither of whom have any
more respect for Separation of Church and State than the other - Pat
Buchanan is open about his religious beliefs, while Jesse Jackson
sneaks through churches and gets out the vote in the pulpit when
you're not looking.

Here at my campus, California State University, Sacramento, we have
featured and paid with university funds, for communist speakers like
Angela Davis, and feminist leaders like Eleanor Smeal, but
conservatives have probably never come here to speak. What - and get
their cars vandalized by tolerant liberals? I couldn't believe the
hostile crowd when Dan Quayle swung by to chat with someone at this
campus.

We have taken America away from the people who make fun of
homosexuality, and put it in the hands of liberals who make fun of
abstinence and call it naive and unrealistic.

We have addicted our kids to a daily programming schedule, filled with
a male-bashing, Christian-bashing, Republican-bashing, father-hating,
family-values-hahahah! agenda that passes for harmless comedy. Women
say things about men every day on TV that rivals Andrew Dice Clay, but
it's okay as long as women are saying it. We have gone from a society
that attacked sexual liberation, to a mass addiction to entertainment
that teaches us acceptance for abortion, promiscuity, homosexuality
and philandering, and throws in a condom filled with pills for good
measure, and then makes hilarious fun of sexual abstinence. And that's
long before we get to the mid-day soaps.


With liberation and change like this, I'd hate to see what they call
oppression and stagnation.
