- Seriously, if you are interested in what we would like to see added, and there
- is a chance that it will show up in Pathworks (PC and Mac versions) in the
- foreseeable future, then I'm happy to add my 2c's worth, as I am sure are
- other people in the group.

-
- Short answer - they should.
-
- However, at least for Mac, NCSA telnet is pretty cranky (yes it is the current
- version) for the Tektronics emulation. But then its free too, so you can have
- both, they are not mutually exclusive. I haven't looked at a PC version, maybe
- it's better?

-
- Hint: why not either write one, or cross licence one into Pathworks. I
- thought that DEC and Apple had decided to do business together so this really
- shouldn't be too hard to achieve? There are a variety of very good ones
- around, and I would have throught it wouldn't be too hard to get a deal with
- someone.
-
- MacTerminal is so old that you shouldn't even *think* about distributing it
- (and it is a really poor performer too). I won't even install it, so the cross
- license fee, that you presumable pay for it, is totally wasted.

-
- No. Not unless you run Xterm on top.
-
- Or have X drivers in your graphics package too so that you don't need the
- tektronics output.
-
- In any case, MacX at least is sooo slooooow that it isn't usable. But I'll
- keep my diatribe on this issue until after the New Year when 1). my grant
- renewal is written, 2). I've finished examining this DPhil thesis that is on
- my desk, and 3). I've tested one more set of options to try to make it useful.
- Then every one else will be back too and we can all join in with 'customer
- feedback' !
-
- But don't get me wrong, I am satified with PW (for Mac) as it stands for lots
- of things, it's just that there are still areas where it isn't right. Terminal
- emulation is the most obvious of these. Maybe if other people have thoughts
- too then you'll have a wish list.
-
- Of course, if we have an idea of what is coming for future versions.... :)
