  25. Three Mile Island realeased as much radiation, during it's operation
  26. as your average American recieves in a lifetime of X-rays.  That's
  27. a total, not a per-capita, and most of it radiated onto things that
  28. left no damage at all, like air, or water, or asphalt, or Jane Fonda :-)

  30. Chernobyl was simply badly designed.  In an effort to make changing
  31. the fuel rods easier, they built the whole thing with this nifty
  32. removable cement ceiling.  Of course, if the pressure within the
  33. core was to get too hign for some reason...

  35. Are these the reasons you fear the things made by humans?  You judge
  36. by the hype and mistakes?  You must have quite contradictory feelings
  37. about the Shuttle ;-)
