  43. When did I advocate determinism?  The fact that everything is "a
  44. ripple on the face of something more complex" does not indicate that
  45. we are not talking about reality; it indicates that we can't do so as
  46. precisely as we would like or that the way reality looks is
  47. counterintuitive.  Moreover, the expression of this thought seems to
  48. indicate that you think science _is_ attempting to discuss reality.
