  14.  I havn't seen the check-out channel yet.  Maybe a good selling point
  15.  would be that it would stop people from reading the National
  16.  Enquirer in the check out line without buying it :-).  On the other
  17.  hand, I bet the tabloid publishers would fight it tooth and nail.

  19.  An interesting thing I have seen here is an electronic Notebook style
  20.  LCD display (large - about maybe 5" by 8") hooked to the handle on the
  21.  cart.  There are buttons you can press to get locater information and
  22.  find out where coupons are.  The store has lots of it's carts set outside
  23.  under a walkway (they are open 24 hrs so can do that) and I guess they
  24.  have to recharge them, cuz there are cables running from the wall to
  25.  each cart.  I wonder if they download data that way as well?  Hard to
  26.  think that would be cost effective -

  28.  Oh well, anything to get rid of those #*@(*&@*&@^ kiddie shopping carts.
  29.  Jeeze I hate those things - if you havn't seen it they are little
  30.  plastic shopping carts suitable for about a 5 to 10 year old. Talk
  31.  about clogging up the aisles.  I've quite going to a couple of stores
  32.  when they brought those in - I just want to get in the store and thru
  33.  the checkout line as fast as possible...
