- I must put in a claim here that I have watched no more than
- 20 consecutive seconds of "It's a Wonderful Life" so far this
- season. It was tough last night, though. One of the televangelists
- (Robert Tilton?) ran it over and over and over (with the phone number
- for donations superimposed of course). Every time I hit him I had to
- press the button at warp speed.
-
- Actually the reason I've heard that this movie is played 50 billion times
- every Christmas (I guess it was cute, at least the first 100 times...)
- is that someone forgot to renew the copyright and it went into public
- domain. So, assuming you aren't using a recently colorized version,
- you get to pay no royalities on it. I'd be curious to know if this
- is true.
-
- Otherwise, it was pretty boring on this end. I did see kind of an
- interesting PBS program on bats in Southern Arizona, though. That
- was over the air, but I didn't check to see if it was a real time
- feed :-)
-
- Gary hasn't said much about how the winter is going at the end of
- the world (at least here on the net). It's being halecious here
- in Az - temps in the single digits every night, and I've even seen
- it down to -10 already. I can't IMAGINE what it's going to be like
- in February and March. Probably would be nice at the bottom of
- the Grand Canyon, though.
-
- Well - gotta go bruch some snow off the dish... :-)
