- You forgot some neat things... all of the home shopping networks not
- selling at all (I would think Christmas would be the best time to sell--
- nobody has to work and they'd all be home and probably would impulse
- buy from their armchair).
-
- These home shopping network folks singing christmas carols (but not
- putting themselves into their singing...boring!).
-
- the SCPC stations that are talk went to christmas music. I sure missed
- talk.
-
- the local Rush station playing christmas music -- well, at least I have
- SCPC -- right there on SCPC was RUSH!!!!! YEAAAAHHH!!!!!
-
- Mor MUSIC TV disappointing me by their christmas songs. I thought they
- would be christmas music videos. They were "slides" with songs from
- records -- no videos.
-
- most TV/radio networks cancelling a majority of their feeds -- they are
- only doing a few feeds today instead of their regular schedule of feeds.
-
- The syndies are still following their regular schedule. Some slates
- are cute (Rudolph saying "Be good!", santa claus, frosty). They
- were done in normal ASCII-type chars (a few high-ASCII IBM chars were used),
- pretty good considering what they (uplinkers with their chyron machines)
- had to work with.
-
- Christmas is so fun. But New Years Day is the best! Feeds from Times
- Square all over the place and that New Years West Coast celebration
- (if you haven't seen this before, you have to!!!!). I found it on
- T1/17 last year with backhauls on SBS6 and GSTAR2 (what was GSTAR2
- then -- now that satellite is GSTAR4).
