- From the limited humor collection of Robert:
-
- "Gee, I wonder what Santa is getting me for Christmas" I asked myself
- as 12 midnight rolled around and I sat down to watch NBC nap (for those
- of you in Rio Linda, it is NBC Nightside).
-
- I fell asleep, but I quickly woke up because I heard a clang that
- sounded like it was coming from my dish.
-
- Being the good person that I was, I guessed it had to be Santa and I
- went back to bed.
-
- When I got up, I found quite a surprise!!!! On my dish was:
-
- a 19-21 (guessed) Super ICE. Wow! Guaranteed to give me the most
- sparklie-free pictures!
-
- a .5 KU ICE. Wow! Also guaranteed to give me the most sparklie-free
- pictures.
-
- a "super-duper, 102 foot actuator arm", guaranteed to give me satellites
- on the other side of the world.
-
- Well, I went inside and turned on the dish. A Ku satellite was horrible
- (broken promise #1), a few of the weaker C-band transponders were sparklie
- (broken promise #2), and I couldn't get the Atlantic Intelsats or the
- Asia satellites (broken promise #3).
-
- I am not blaming Santa for this... he was just trying to do what was
- right.
-
- I should have known last night it was Santa. I heard him yell as he
- left my backyard "We're going DDDDDDOOOOOOWWWWWWNNNNNNTTTTTOOOOWWWWNNNNN!"
- . He concluded that comment with, "Gee, we should do something with that
- ugly thing". What did Santa do, you ask?
-
- He turned it into a planter and put tons of cacti in it! Now, I have
- a strictly Southwestern dish! ;)
-
- Well, I hope you all are having a good Christmas. Santa was good to me
- this year (other than the equipment he purchased for me!).
-
- See you soon with a special to the Internet!
