- For anybody reading this on December 24th or 25th, and who can point a
- ku-equipped system at PanAmSat 1 at 45.5 degrees west, here is an annual
- Christmas treat for you. (I didn't know it was annual until I saw the
- same thing, in the same place, at the same time, this year as last
- year.)
-
- (my) Channel 9 is carrying BBC Radio Four, with crazy digital video
- translations of the audio. If you've ever seen ABC do a "Digital Dump",
- the video looks similar to that, but the patterns follow the amplitude
- and frequency of the music. I tuned in just in time for the 1500 GMT
- news, got a nice Radio Four ID, and I'm now enjoying the "Festival of
- Nine Lessons and Carols".
-
- I'd really love to hear an explanation of this one. However, in terms
- of pure enjoyment (as well as something different to listen to), this
- one is pretty exciting.
