- Well as a longtime listener to BBCWS radio I thought that as a show, it was
- well conducted. I called with a question, but it was not selected. In
- the background while I was dictating my question I could hear the phones
- ringing like crazy so there must have been a lot of calls.
-
- Mr Tusa's mind was obviously made up and he was not going to be swayed by
- any particular caller, he was merely stating the current position on policy
- on WS Radio & TV. That will only change under pressure from the audience.
-
- I was disappointed on his answers on WSTV, I have posted a summary separately.
- There is no clear date as to when it will be available in the USA, and if
- it is what format it will take. It sounds like it will have commercials,
- and that it will be primarily news and documentaries. However since the
- NA market is english speaking (sort of :-) ) one might infer that there
- could be more variety.
-
- Its annoying that they have doubled the cost of their magazine London
- Calling, renamed it BBC Worldwide and included a TV guide to programs we
- can't watch. It now costs #24 (about $40) a year.
